Head of Sales – Hire (Generator Rental)

Home based – Midlands & Northern UK wide coverage

Package:

£60,000–£65,000 basic + quarterly bonus, car or car allowance and pension

Our role

At Central Power Services, our people come first. Our hire business succeeds because of the relationships we build, with our customers and with each other. As our Head of Sales - Hire, your role is to lead, support and develop our hire sales team while helping customers find the right power solutions for their needs.

This is a hands-on role where being present and approachable matters. You’ll spend time with customers, work alongside the sales team, and collaborate closely with operations to make sure what we promise is what we deliver. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll play an important part in shaping how our hire business grows in a way that’s sustainable, supportive and true to our values.

What the role involves

  • Leading our generator rental sales activity across the Midlands and Northern UK
  • Supporting and developing a small sales team through coaching, guidance and example
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with customers based on trust and reliability
  • Working closely with operations and leadership to ensure safe, practical and dependable delivery
  • Being visible, involved and accountable - both internally and externally

What we’re looking for

  • Solid experience in generator rental or power hire (ideally 5+ years)
  • A people-focused leader, or a strong salesperson ready to step into leadership with the right mindset
  • Someone who values teamwork, communication and doing the right thing for customers and colleagues
  • Based in the Midlands or North, with flexibility to support the wider region
