Focus:
Community Support
Central Power Services is proud to support Catterall in Bloom, a volunteer-led community initiative focused on beautifying the village through gardening and sustainable practices.
The group has transformed the village by introducing community gardens, wildflower meadows, and sustainable planting features - enhancing its identity as a true “Garden Village.” As a result of their efforts, Catterall in Bloom has been selected to represent the North West in the 2026 Britain in Bloom national awards, recognising their achievements in sustainability and community engagement.
Their work plays an important role in strengthening community spirit and encouraging residents to take pride in where they live.

Supporting a Community Initiative
As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate, Central Power Services is working alongside the group to help deliver current projects and support future plans.
Members of the Central Power Services team have already begun volunteering their time to assist with planting and landscaping activities, helping to prepare and establish new floral displays. As projects continue to develop, we will provide ongoing practical support and shared resources to help the initiative grow.
Sharing Skills and Resources
Central Power Services is also contributing professional expertise to the project. Our in-house marketing team is supporting the preparation and presentation of the group’s official entry for the Britain in Bloom awards, helping to ensure their work and achievements are clearly documented and professionally showcased.
Rainwater harvested at the Central Power Services site will also be made available to help fill the group’s water bowser, providing a sustainable source to support ongoing planting maintenance. In addition, our boardroom has been offered as a meeting space, giving volunteers a comfortable and practical environment to plan and coordinate their activities.
Looking Ahead
By supporting Catterall in Bloom, Central Power Services aims to contribute to the continued improvement of the local environment while supporting the volunteers who make these projects possible.
This partnership highlights how collaboration between local businesses and community groups can create lasting, positive change for the wider community.
A Community Partnership
“A big thank you to CPS (Central Power Services) who sent two helpers to join us this morning at Stone Cross Gardens. They helped us to achieve a lot of work on a beautiful spring day and also have donated some tools. We hope they enjoyed their morning as much as we did.”
