CPS supports Sherriff 10K in Scorton

CPS were delighted to sponsor the Sherriff 10K race in Scorton, near Preston, on Sunday 5th May. The event was held in aid of The North West Air Ambulance in memory of Julia Patefield from Garstang Running Club, who was a regular competitor in the race in past years.
CPS provided t-shirts for all of the competitors and contributed towards the costs of staging the event, along with fellow sponsors, The Horns Pub & Dining and The Runners’ Centre.
A total of 98 runners completed the main race, with a fun run held earlier attracting even more runners. The event was won by Chris Davies of Blackburn Harriers in a time of 36:44, with Suzanne Leonard of Blackpool, Wyre & Fylde Athletic Club leading the ladies in a time of 46:18.
Julia’s family attended the race held in her honour, with the event raising £1076 to help with the vital work of The North West Air Ambulance.
