Safeguarding power supply for a North-West hospital trust

Central Power Services (CPS) recently secured a five-year contract with an NHS Trust based in the North West. 

The Trust serves around 350,000 people from three major hospitals and numerous community healthcare premises.  

The partnership sees CPS tasked with ensuring an uninterrupted power supply for life-saving healthcare services across the Trust’s facilities.

Within the contract, CPS is responsible for the installation and maintenance of advanced power generation systems. These are vital to the continuous operation of surgical theatres, intensive care units, and other critical services including the Trust’s multiple hospital facilities and numerous community healthcare settings.

Under the agreement, CPS will monitor the systems 24/7 and rapidly deploy temporary power solutions during any planned outages or emergencies. This comprehensive service package will ensure that the Trust’s facilities are always prepared to deliver life-saving care. 

CPS have previously deployed engineers to a site run by the NHS Trust within an hour of a critical incident, and delivered temporary backup systems within four hours. This track record of working in close partnership and rapid response capabilities were key factor in securing this new contract.
